Water purification drinking systems follow: We became involved with these types of systems because of the sophistic ceramic faucets units we feature throughout our site. As terrific and long lasting they are, ceramic is sensitive to well water debris and can clog. Usually it is the pressure balanced shower units BUT!! It stands to reason, as long as were are taking the grit out - why not make the water as palatable as possible?

We run into resistance, sometimes, with customers that have the small table top / faucet filtering units. They don't seem to realize that small units are for 40 gallons or less, and in many instances, I have been told, replacement filters are $30.00.
The basic small filter unit [13" high] - not shown but can be used with the above faucets is a #fm dws 1500 - costs $79.00 net / it takes out sediment / chlorine / odor / cysts /. It is good for 1500 gallons .. If the average household goes through 1 gallon a day - this filter is good for over 4 years..
I don't have prices up for the reverse osmosis units and they are available through us. I know they use 5 gallons of water to produce one drinkable gallon and the other above filters work so well with the 5 micron sediment filter and u.v. - I thought it was unnecessary except for harshest conditions.
I went to a seminar 10/29 to find out more about filtration. And learned from others in my group that all water is not wonderful. Some dealers had chorine sensitive customers / one, an individual allergic to magnesium. A spokesman who used to work for a water works department in Arizona told us about spores, cysts, minerals and other possible contaminants. A plumber brough up the fact that some appliance manufacturers do not warrantee their product if there are calciam buildups.
Something else I found interesting.
All filters are not the same! 1 cu. ft. of carbon exposes water to over a million square feet of surface area [ something to bring up at a coctail party] but most companies use coal based carbon. This company uses coconut. They find [ like hospitals ] that coconut is best for filtering blood. They say their filters live longer and work the best.Two classifications:
